 You should go there and ask any family who were thrown out of their home ,

 tell them they should go quitely and live as refugee anywhere and stop defending their homes. 

No one will let you go there and see by your own eyes because it's much easier to tell you anything in the media.

 If we found a romain ancient remains in your city for exemple , doesn't mean that the italien goverment can claim your city and throw you out of your homes?
